The journey

A love of the game—and the road that followed.

I caught the golf bug at 12, spending my junior years at Birchwood Golf Club in the North-West of England.

At 18, a sense of adventure took me overseas. I spent several years travelling and working in different countries, including five years in Whistler, Canada—skiing through winter and playing golf through summer. Along the way, I qualified as both a ski and windsurf instructor.

In June 2012, I returned to the UK to pursue a career in golf coaching. I turned professional that October and have been committed to developing players ever since.

Developing players

From first steps to national success.

Within the early years of my coaching career, I became Lead Coach for Sussex Girls Golf and later joined England Golf as a performance coach. I have helped players earn England caps, achieve national success and make the transition into professional golf.

Coaching philosophy

Lead by example.

“No written word or spoken plea can teach our youth what they should be. Nor all the books on all the shelves. It’s what the teachers are themselves.”

Coaching through actions, standards and example.
01

Authenticity

I ask players for commitment, strong processes and positive behaviours—and hold myself to the same standard.

02

Continuous learning

Knowledge as a golf coach is never complete. I continually invest in professional development and better ways to help players.

03

Full commitment

Every player receives my full energy and attention. In return, I ask them to commit fully to becoming the best they can be.

The person who loves walking will walk further than the person who loves the destination.

A principle behind my coaching.

Beyond the course

The person behind the coach.

Away from golf, family, fitness and football keep life full.

My wife Karolina and I have a young daughter, Mia, as well as a very lively Golden Retriever called Cali. I’m also a keen CrossFit enthusiast and a lifelong Liverpool FC supporter.
